The in-game convention hall at CubedCon is soon to become home to a variety of Minecraft projects that will be exhibiting at this weekend’s event.
CubedCon, a.k.a. “Cubed!”, is a Minecraft convention that is free for the community to attend, and that will be hosting a number of booths from Minecraft events, servers, SMPs, podcasts, maps, content creators, and many more.
Untitled Gameshow, a multi-round livestreamed trivia gameshow by Servver, is just one of the many projects that will have a booth for convention attendees to explore. The booth is a recreation of the map for Trivia Temples, one of the rounds of the show – though of course, in much smaller scale. “My main goal for my booth is to get more eyes on the Untitled Gameshow,” Servver tells us, “and maybe also get more contestant opportunities – but more eyes is the main goal at this point.”

This will be Servver’s fifth year attending the convention. “My experience has been amazing – there’s so much to do and you can never get bored,” he says. “I’m excited to see all the communities inside the Minecraft space be united underneath CubedCon. I’m also excited to see all of the booths that show off everyone’s projects!”
Untitled Gameshow isn’t the only live gameshow that will be in attendance, however – The Quiz LIVE, by TheHappwheels1, also has a booth. Happy is a CubedCon veteran, having attended in 2018 and every year since. “It’s always such a blast getting to hang out with everyone, explore the booths, and watch the panels,” Happy tells us. “In recent years, I myself have hosted panels, been a guest on panels, and had booths for players to explore.”

For their community members who have toured or seen the show’s studio, the booth from the past few years would be instantly recognisable – being a miniature replica complete with the entrance/exit gates, coffee shop, and big doors into the different sets.
Convention attendees will also be able to visit the booth of Um Actually…, a Minecraft gameshow made by cupidjack and based on the Dropout show of the same name. The show involves correcting slightly incorrect statements, and their booth has plenty of these to try out. “A small goal I had while designing was to make people enjoy visiting my booth,” Jack says, “which is why I put effort into making it interactive with mini trivia questions!” Between that and a photo opportunity for fans, this booth isn’t one to miss.

“Something I really love about Minecraft is that it really is just a tool for people to create,” Jack says, “which means that there are so many amazing projects that we wouldn’t even hear about if not for CubedCon.”
Representing another side of the Minecraft event community is Showdown, a minigame tournament owned by Chazzagram. “I’d love to get as many people in the community involved with the booth as possible,” Chazzagram tells us. “Seeing old and new faces interacting, taking screenies with their friends and themselves, finding the references placed throughout the booth, and of course have a little read of a travel log left by our lovely lore provider Lyla, who has travelled from Showdown Park to visit!”

“I went to last year’s convention and had so much fun looking around the convention centre,” Chazzagram says. “It’s so big with so many cool things to find around including the games, expo hall, and main events which happened at the stage.”
Meanwhile, Tastic Game Nights, hosted by Lantastic and MxAero, represent a player roster that collaborates with other events in the Minecraft community. This will be their first year having a booth. “Our goal is hopefully to spread the word on the event, and get some more people interested in watching,” Lantastic tells us, “but also I just wanted to build a pretty booth.”

Exhibitors outside of the immediate Minecraft event space include Gummy Studios – a studio that creates movies within Minecraft, as written and directed by Vircon. So far they have four movies available to watch: “SKYWARS: The Wrong Portal”, “KINGDOMS: War Begins”, “KINGDOMS: Rebellion”, and “Cyber Dystopia” – with a fifth, as yet unannounced movie currently in production.
“I got to check out a lot of the booths last year, which inspired me to try and do my own this year,” Vircon tells us. “I hope at least a few people can see our booth and be intrigued by Gummy Studios. It would be awesome for some more people to discover our movies, as the goal has always been to tell the best stories possible to as many people as we can.”

You’ll soon be able to check out their gummy-worm themed booth when the convention begins.
Interactive booths are popular among attendees, so the one by Teddyishappyl Maps should be no exception. Promoting their parkour maps, which according to the booth signs are “specifically catered with unique mechanics and fun scenery”, it should be no surprise that the booth itself is a mini parkour course. “My principal goal is for people to get a glimpse into the world of biome-parkour making,” Teddy tells us. “That’s why rather than having a bunch of text and decoration, my booth is comprised of almost entirely parkour.”

“In the small 15x15x13 space I’ve been able to build, I’ve made a nice short parkour for a player to try before they go on their way throughout the convention,” Teddy continues. “Now of course, it’d be fun for people to discover my maps as well – I’ve already had someone on the booth server join my server to congratulate me on my booth – but it’s primarily for people to appreciate the design of biome parkour.”
“I’ve been able to enjoy every aspect of the convention since I’ve been coming,” Teddy says, “whether it be time trialling on the ice boat track, or participating in the StickyPiston minigames. It’s really been a magical place for me, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2025!”
You will be able to visit these booths – alongside many, many others – from 3rd-5th October at CubedCon. You can claim a free ticket for the convention here.
