Four Minecraft events want their players to get tipsy for charity

Wraithzeon 2 September, 2025 3 minutes read

Heart Of A Hero’s new campaign “SepTipsy” has begun, featuring a Minecraft event for every Saturday in September.

The events will be raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, the charity being fundraised for by the Heart Of A Hero campaign, led by Captain AJX.

“The original concept is actually from Tipsy Tourney, which is an MCC Island event ran by _Bill and his incredible friends,” AJX tells us.  “The idea is just that it’s fun to play Minecraft and get a bit drunk – and when I took part for erinreyn’s charity event a few months back, I learnt that is in fact so true.  It’s quickly turned into my favourite Minecraft event overall, and I wanted to have the concept work with some of my other favourite events too.”

The first event of the campaign will be Showdown Afterparty, taking place this Saturday (6th September) at 11pm BST / 6pm EDT.  This minigame tournament re-debuted in late August, so this will be its first “special event”.

The following weekend, 13th September, will feature One Shot Royale, a social battle royale game featuring one-hit-kill crossbows, followed by Tipsy Tourney on 20th September.  Mania Party, the upcoming revamp of MC Mania in the style of Mario Party, will be the final event of SepTipsy and take place on 27th September.

“Obviously Tipsy Tourney itself was a must partner with,” AJX says.  “_Bill, Kristina and the whole team have been very supportive, and as I said it’s just an amazing event to take part in.”

“The other three are ran by three of my best friends, all incredibly talented and amazing,” AJX continues.  “They were obviously my first priority – I can’t state how much I love and am thankful to whereismyjules, Chazzagram and WeChokeOnMilk.  They are incredible especially because two of these events are practically brand new, and the trust placed on me to help bring this crazy-sounding concept to life has been so wonderful.”

This varied selection of event genres and formats is sure to be an interesting watch with their players drinking alongside – but there’s also room for players who don’t drink alcohol.  “If you don’t want to drink, you don’t have to,” AJX tell us.  “Instead you can take another debuff, such as perhaps inverting your controls, playing with drunk goggles, or even spinning a few times before every game.  We’re also going to have a lot of extra incentives and things people can donate for to affect each event.”

Sign-ups are currently open for One Shot Royale (known for this event as “One Shots Shots Shots”) here.  Regardless of whether they will be drinking, applicants are required to be of drinking age in their country.  Public applications for Tipsy Tourney and Mania Party will be opening soon.
