TwitchCon San Diego is fast approaching. Taking place at San Diego Convention Centre from 17–19th October 2025, the event will provide ample opportunities for Minecraft streamers and their communities to network, learn, seek out new opportunities, and have fun. Here’s what convention-goers had to say about it!
For many members of the Minecraft Twitch community, TwitchCon brings a unique opportunity to meet up with friends from within the creator space. “I go to conventions for the people,” WithMayX tells us. “It’s literally my favourite time of the year.”

“The thing that I am most excited for is a TwitchSMP meetup, with all the members of TwitchSMP that are going to TwitchCon,” says RyanGamez. “I am going to be the one hosting it, so I’m super excited to plan and figure out all the details for the get-together.”
It’s not just being with friends at the convention that is appealing – many attendees will be staying in the same accommodation as friends, or planning activities together outside those offered by Twitch.
“Through the Water Warrior Initiative, a charity fundraiser that I started in 2023, ThatDarkPhoenix and I are getting tattoos of the Initiative following a fundraising goal, and we are going to skydive together over the San Diego Bay,” says LuciKOH. “It’s an incredibly amazing experience to share with some of the people who are most important to me. As someone whose friends live thousands of kilometres away, getting to spend a week vacationing with them in a city I love is nothing short of a blessing, and I look forward to seeing all of them again this year.”
“I’m most excited to finally hang out with friends in person rather than through a screen,” says DaniMilksops. “With stuff already planned like possibly skydiving, doing karaoke, cooking all together, I’m really excited to create memories with them.”
“I’ve attended nearly every TwitchCon, given that they’re hosted in my home state of California,” says LuciKOH. “It’s something I regularly attend with friends, and I have always loved seeing the people who have been involved in one of the best parts of my life. We have our yearly tradition of doing escape rooms together, including one with live actors at TwitchCon Vegas.”
It’s not just the locals that are heading to San Diego this month, so for some convention-goers it’s also an exciting travel opportunity. “I live in the UK so I’m traveling eleven hours to get to San Diego,” pinkfluffyseal tells us. “This is my first time solo traveling so this is quite a big thing for me – as much as I am nervous I’m equally excited! I’m excited to get to explore San Diego with my friends and get up to lots of fun!”
pinkfluffyseal isn’t the only one travelling across the pond. “It’s my first time ever time going to America, so I’m definitely excited to experience American culture,” adds DeviDeception. “I am getting to see friends I wouldn’t otherwise have met due to going.”

Alongside meeting current friends, networking and meeting new people is another perk of conventions such as this, and the Minecraft Community Meetup on the Saturday is a perfect opportunity for this. In addition, attendees will have the chance to meet some of Minecraft’s most popular Twitch streamers. The chance of bumping into such creators at events and panels, in meet and greets, on the convention floor, or even outside the convention is an exciting opportunity for many convention-goers.
“I’m super stoked to get to meet other content creators in a space where we can all connect,” pinkfluffyseal says. “I’m hyped to see what Twitch have in store for us!”
“Being able to interact with so many creators that I look up to at the Con is a huge plus,” DaniMilksops says.

Cosplay is another popular activity for attendees, with many Minecraft fans dressing as their favourite streamers, characters from popular media, or characters of their own design. “A cosplay that I have planned out is I will be cosplaying my main skin,” JayDraws tells us.
Alongside these social opportunities, there are a range of panels and other events to look forward to. Hermitcraft SMP, Lifesteal SMP, and Cowboy SMP will each have their own panel, and there will also be a panel on women in the Minecraft creator space. That’s not all, because like with previous TwitchCons, Noxcrew will be bringing MC Championship to TwitchCon with a special edition called “The Copper Crown”. “Your favourite Minecraft face-off is back again, this time with a storyline that players and audience members alike will have to band together to overcome,” the TwitchCon schedule reads. “Are you up for the challenge?”
“I will forever and always look forward to watching MCC Live,” DeviDeception tells us. “It’s like football but for Minecraft players.”
“This will be my first ever TwitchCon and MCC Live experience, so I’m just extremely excited to watch it in person like it’s an esports final,” DaHouse_Panda adds.
“I am extremely excited for MCC, and will be rooting for whoever I like the most on the roster,” JayDraws tells us. “Good luck to everyone on the official roster – may the odds forever be in your favour.”
To all the TwitchCon-goers – whichever part you’re most excited for, we hope you have an incredible time, safe travels, and make lots of good memories!
