Double check your event times as clocks soon to change

Wraithzeon 17 October, 2025 2 min read

Every year around clock changes, there are frequent errors made by Minecraft players, as well as event and project organisers.  This can lead to people showing up for events at the wrong time.

WARNING: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS END

⏰ UK & Europe clocks go back: Sunday 26th October
⏰ NA clocks go back: Sunday 2nd November

The most common errors we see are:

  • Not converting the hours difference correctly.  For example, for one week only, there is one fewer hour difference between the UK and North America.
  • Using the correct time, but marking it incorrectly as a time zone that isn’t in use (for example using GMT / BST interchangeably, or EST / EDT).  This leads to confusion as people may not know whether you’ve taken the clock change into consideration or not.

If running or attending an event, please be extra cautious during this time. If writing dates, please double check that you’re using the correct time zones to avoid confusion, and that your conversions are correct.  Using an online time and date converter such as this one is always the safest option if you’re unsure.

The Sphere News “What’s On” pages are correct to our knowledge, but may contain errors if the information has been added from an incorrect source.  You can contact us to report any errors in our coverage.
