Viewers will be able to watch five ancient civilisations rise – and potentially fall – in a 100-creator storytelling event next weekend. We spoke to event organiser Harp to find out more…

“When choosing the civilisations, we looked at the different weapons each one could use,” Harp tells us. Each of the five civilisations has its own unique custom weapon, featuring two special abilities – a standard one as well as one that requires more time to charge. “These mechanics are designed to significantly enhance combat depth should it occur.”
The nations in play will be a Medieval civilisation led by Ghostiefruit, the Celts led by Seapeekay, the Egyptians led by AbolishRegret, the Vikings led by Saparata, and the Romans led by OwengeJuiceTV. Civilisations will have a supporting cast of around nineteen other creators, working together with their leaders to create the greatest and most powerful civilisations they can – which may be by attacking and conquering other nations, defending their own, or exploring the lands for other opportunities. Each civilisation’s story will be livestreamed by its members to their own channels.

“Behind the scenes, creators have been very invested in their character lore, creating different stories ready for the event,” Harp says. “There are so many ideas that people have for their civilisation, and it’s very exciting to watch the ideas develop – and even more exciting to see which direction each civilisation will end up going.”
Custom weapons aren’t the only unique gameplay mechanic the event holds, with different civilisations receiving different advantages and disadvantages according to their starting areas. “The Egyptian civilisation will be facing boiling water mechanics, while the Viking civilisation will have freezing water,” Harp explains. “These features add a strategic layer to transportation and naval combat, particularly in the event of an invasion.”

There is also disparity in the mob spawning between nations. “The medieval civilisation has an increased number of pigs, sheep, and cows – whereas in the desert biome it’s a challenge to find sustainable animals,” Harp says. “Each civilisation will also feature a custom-designed mob boss that players may encounter and challenge during the event. These bosses were especially exciting to develop, and few events operate on a comparable scale. The mob bosses themselves represent only a small portion of our larger flagship event experience, Nemesis Rising.”
The flagship event in question is a minigame tournament that has been in development by Harp’s event team, Creator Splash, since early 2025. Nemesis Rising is a boss-battling minigame that will be featured in the tournament, although it’s not the only crossover between that and the civilisation event, as some of the civilisation weapons are from a minigame called Multiverse. “It’s really interesting to see how people will react to the features we have created,” Harp says.

“Myself and the team have been working so incredibly hard behind the scenes on this civilisation event – it’s most certainly a step up from our first event last year,” Harp tells us. Creator Splash’s debut event was Hide & Seek in January 2025, and with the minigame tournament being a longer-term project, this civilisation event will only be their second event to release.
Understandably, that makes it an exciting time for Creator Splash’s team. “I remember waking up and posting a tweet about the event, and the next day our impressions quadrupled our top post’s,” Harp tells us. “When we started announcing roster players for the event, we doubled our follower count after only a few tweets. Seeing people so excited about the event definitely motivated our whole team that we are on the correct path, and kept us motivated behind the scenes.”

A particular highlight is the fanart the community has made and shared on social media. “I was definitely impressed by the incredible fanart people have made – this event was our first time getting fanart of characters,” Harp explains. “Our skin artists worked super hard to create designs along with the rest of our team.”
The civilisation event begins on Saturday 17th January at 8pm GMT / 3pm EST, and is expected to last three or four hours.
