MCC Rising is a version of Noxcrew’s Minecraft Championship that any Minecraft creator can apply for, regardless of size or being on the main roster. This is Rising’s third year, and we reached out to all of the players taking part to find out more about them, and get some recommendations for cool projects to check out!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE OF MINECRAFT TRIVIA?

The fact that there is a TINY chance the name of the game will be displayed as Minceraft – I can’t stop calling it that ever since I found out!
Plushy33 – Blue Bats:
On Bedrock Edition, you can light TNT with a Fire Aspect sword.
queen_ov_drama – Purple Pandas:
It’s got to be that Evokers hate blue sheep and use their magic to make them red, and that they included the “wololo” sound from Age of Empires!
TibbyCaps – Aqua Axolotls:
According to Jeb, the Vex was designed to look like a mix between an angel and a demon. It’s my favourite mob in the game and I think they’re so underrated!

A baby sniffer is called a snifflet!
WithMayX – Cyan Coyotes:
A potion of Poison II appears to last for 22 seconds – in reality it actually lasts for 22.5 seconds but they rounded it down for displaying. You will have to live with that knowledge now.
AbolishRegret – Yellow Yaks:
One interesting pieces of Minecraft trivia is that the texture of a command block is off-centred.

I am a huge trivia nerd, so I appreciate this question. My favourite piece of Minecraft trivia is that the honey block is the only block in the game you can’t jump on!

I actually don’t know that much Minecraft trivia, but I’ve been playing for a really long time so I remember some stuff that new players didn’t get to play around with. I played on Pocket Edition so I remember the poppy used to be a blue rose, and there was also a block called the nether reactor core that was removed from the game at some point. (I also remember Pocket Edition before there were water buckets! Making a pool was a pain back then.)

Did you know if you spam the chat enough while in bed in a single player world you can be kicked for spam?

Once on Twitch SMP I took part in a trivia event, and vividly remember being absolutely slammed by a “what’s crucial to make every potion in Minecraft” question – even though the answer was a water bottle…

My favourite piece of Minecraft trivia is that Notch wasn’t invited to the 10th anniversary party. And Lena Raine is amazing.

Did you know that 1.20.5 was the version that fundamentally changed Minecraft commands forever? There were so many changes to how commands and datapacks work, that many developers are leaving the space entirely (I was one of them!).

I’m not sure what my favourite piece of Minecraft trivia is to be honest… I’m not a trivia kind of person because my memory is like non-existent.
