Spotlight On: Fruit Wars

Wraithzeon 28 June, 2024 1 minute read

Their upcoming event in July has an interesting take on viewer engagement – whilst many events let players vote for a game (or to veto a game), Fruit Wars will be letting viewers vote on which player gets a modifier. Who will the community choose to help, and who will they sabotage?

Fruit Wars is a monthly for-fun minigame tournament in which smaller creators and bigger creators who normally would never meet each other team together.

Their July tournament is a “Viewers Choice” special, with a few changes from their regular event.

After the players have voted for the game, viewers will be able to vote in a Twitter / X poll on which creator will get the modifier for that game. Modifiers will be a range of effects and challenges – some good, some bad. For example, giving someone Speed 50 in racing game “Wave Runners”, spawning the wither on someone in Gold Rush 2, putting a bounty on a player’s head, or giving them darkness for all of parkour.
