Crafting Conjurers is one of the first fully modded minecraft events. It has been in development for four years now and it’s come very far since the start. Their next showcase, titled ‘Scholars Stronghold Showdown’, will be their first in six months. Here’s what we know so far from talking to the owners and devs.
Fittingly described by developer LAmTheGoose as “boundary breaking”, Crafting Conjurers uses a mod with a variety of magic based classes for players to choose from. Currently, there are eight classes publicly known, with each having their own unique abilities and ways of interacting with the other powersets. For this latest showcase, there are whispers of maybe even a ninth class being introduced.

Scholars Stronghold will have four teams of five content creators battling it out to capture the point and become the reigning conjurers. Each team will fight against the other teams once, with both teams getting the chance to play attack and defence. Mana are awarded to teams based on performance in both roles and the team with the most Mana at the end of the rounds will win.
The event started as a ‘Cyberpunk Space Wizard’ concept, and has since had many versions, with developer and co-owner KutikiPlayz saying at the start he knew nothing about Minecraft modding, and this has become his learning experience, feeling quite proud of how it has visually come together. “I’m very proud of myself for having these kinds of creative visions and being able to properly act on them.”

Now, the event is growing fast, with TheLostOneiroi saying that they are proud of the team they have created. “Everyone believes in this mod probably way more than they should.”
This team and especially their passion have accomplished a lot. “Since our last showcase, everything is different. Only the wizard concepts have stayed the same, and the whole mod has been overhauled,” says LAmTheGoose.
The team says that the Scholars Stronghold Showdown is just a small teaser of what they have in the works, with many more showcases and games to come.
With all four teams preparing their wands and incantations, the question becomes: who will you be rooting for? The Scholars, the Heretics, the Disillusioned or the Enlightened? Find out who wins by joining the players’ streams at 2pm BST on the 29th of August, and see this magical gamemode for yourself.
You can check out each of the teams and their players here.
