With a week to go until MC Championship: Blank Canvas, we’d like to introduce you to the newest faces of MCC. A lot of the players will already be familiar to regular MCC enjoyers, but there are some new names that you may not have heard of before…
Roscumber
On Red Rabbits we find Roscumber, a British Minecraft content creator who is mostly known for her amazing castle builds. She’s an avid SMP player, taking part in Rats SMP 2, Pirates SMP, and the Realm SMP, to name a few. In the latter, she was the Royal Architect and as such she built the Castle of Fools, the main residence of the Kingdom of Fools. In July of last year she organised ‘Build by Build’, a Minecraft building event which raised over £3,000 for Diabetes UK. Also, did we mention she really loves to build castles? Yes? Make sure to check out her socials, if you want to see some of them!
SettingSunset
As for Green Geckos, they’ll be joined by SettingSunset, variety streamer on Twitch, actor for Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon, and founder and co-host of the ‘BackToBack’ podcast. On this podcast, they talk about topics like stan culture, gender, and social media, but there is also space for plenty of silly stories and fun discussions. The podcast hosts a different guest each episode, including Tubbo, Snifferish, and fellow MCC newcomer Roscumber. Sunset also has a YouTube channel where the focus is more on vlogs and cozy games like Stardew Valley. One of the games they play is of course Minecraft, where they mostly play SMPs with friends.
The rest of the people we’d like to introduce you to are all on the same team. They all create content in French, meaning the Pink Parrots might as well have been called les Perroquets Roses for this edition.
Etoiles
French viewers will know Etoiles as Host of Culture Clash, from his recurring appearances on TV, or form his collaborations with French journalist and presenter Samuel Étienne, but English speaking viewers will mostly know him as Streamer Awards’ Best Fighting Games Streamer 2023 winner or from the QSMP, where he co-parented the egg called Pomme. Etoiles hosts Nuit du Musée on Twitch, where he and a guest streamer follow private tours of museums or other cultural and heritage establishments. In 2021, he played the king and Master of Time in a streamer immersion experience of the Wheel of Time, hosted by Prime Video. On top of all of that, this busy bee somehow found the time to complete a degree in Computer Engineering as well.
Pressea
Speaking of busy bees, Pressea would also classify as one. Her content varies from playing Sims 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Viewfinder, and Minecraft SMPs, to playing Magic the Gathering live, to talking about fictional works like those of Tolkien and Lovecraft. She participated in MSFQuest late last year, where five teams of two competed to be the fastest to solve all kinds of IRL challenges, which raised over €80,000 for Doctors without Borders. Beyond content, she’s a social butterfly and proud adoptive parent of her newly acquired pup called Zéphyr.
There are two names that technically speaking aren’t new to the MCC scene, but considering they have only played in MC Championship Twitch Rivals Europe, we’ll introduce them here too.
Aypierre
In Aypierre, the Pink Parrots will have found someone who can help out on both the redstone quests of Grid Runners, as well as be confident in the PvP-side of most games. Aypierre is the self-proclaimed Minecraft PvP champion of France, Europe, and even the world, after his Twitch Rivals win three years ago. Or at least, that’s what his bios on Twitch and YouTube say. He was part of the QSMP as one of Pomme’s co-parents, together with his MCC teammate Etoiles. His Minecraft content mostly consists of hardcore and modded SMPs, some of which he streamed from during his 19-day long Subathon that ended earlier this week.
MathoX
If you’re into speedrunning of any kind, you’ll probably have stumbled across MathoX’s content. All advancement runs, all wood logs, all bosses, beating the end with only half a heart of health (aka. HHH or Half Hearted Hardcore) – their speedrun.com account holds some impressive stats. Besides that, they play a variety of other Minecraft things, including Cytooxien’s Only Up, Minecraft Survivor, and several escape maps. They were one of the French-speaking casters of MCSR Ranked, which took place three months ago. These skills will all come in handy as he tries to help his fellow French Parrots fight for MCC’s newest coin.
MC Championship: Blank Canvas will be taking place on 3rd May 2025 at 8pm BST / 3pm EDT.
