Next Shine Brighter event revealed as project reaches £5k raised for charities

Wraithzeon 24 July, 2025 3 minutes read

Last weekend, Shine Brighter reached the £5,000 milestone in its fundraising efforts.  The organisation, ran by LynxyLiam, runs collaboration events with other Minecraft tournaments to raise money for a variety of charities.

The first event Liam collaborated with was minigame tournament Creator Carnage, to raise money for The Trevor Project.  “I started Shine Brighter as a way to give back to the community that has been nothing but accepting to me,” Liam tells us.  “Originally it was called Creator Carnage x LynxyLiam, but I hated having my name on it.  I loved a quote at the time that said ‘the world shines brighter with you in it’, and from that point on I called it Shine Brighter.”

As Shine Brighter, Liam has since raised money for Stonewall, both through a partnership with minigame mini event Solar Skirmish, and a tournament in indie game R.E.P.O..  Liam’s most recent event was Flower Frenzy last weekend, hosted in partnership with Leg.gg (ran by Legundo) and 4CVIT.  The event featured 64 creators, had a range of donation incentives, and raised £3,115 for Make A Wish.

In Flower Frenzy, players must attempt to collect as many flowers as they can before time runs out.

“Flower Frenzy was amazing, to me it was such a heartwarming experience,” Liam says.  “I did cry a lot, but it went ten times better than I ever thought it could’ve gone.  One of my favourite moments was teams combining to live on a Skyblock world… there was a ‘marriage’, which made it incredibly funny.”

“Just being there with 4CVIT, Legundo and the Leg.gg staff made me feel so happy and welcomed, and that is a feeling that is sometimes hard to come by,” Liam continues.  “Major props to Legundo – that man is one of my closest people in the world, and the amount of support he gave to this event is just proof to the amazing, kind, and caring human being he is.”

“I am also thankful for the community – to everyone who has watched, donated or played in a Shine Brighter event, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Thanks for being in the world, because the level of shine you bring is amazing!”

The next Shine Brighter event, taking place on 17th August, will be a collaboration with Klyx Games to raise money for the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the UK’s largest animal welfare charity.  The event will have public applications, which will open soon.
