Record-breaker: otKubo is first to reach major kill count milestone for IBL

Wraithzeon 15 March, 2025 1 minute read

otKubo has just become the first player in Island Battlebox League history to get 200 kills in a single season.

otKubo now has the highest per-season kills in IBL history, with over 200 kills and counting.

IBL (Island Battlebox League) is a competitive esports league founded by Chandiggitydog and DCody, and taking place on MCC Island.  It is currently on the final core week of Season 4, before moving to playoffs next week.

otKubo plays on the A-league for the Serpentine team.  Kubo is the current Season 4 leader in kills, aces, kill/death ratio, and a variety of sub-metrics, placing her as one of the top candidates for the player-voted MVP award.

Serpentine is currently in second place in IBL’s A-league, only behind Nova, which is currently on an impressive win streak since mid-January.  Serpentine is competing against Nova today (Saturday 15th March) at 9pm GMT / 5pm EDT, with the match determining the winner of the league’s first seed.  The match will be broadcast on the IBL’s Twitch.
