With preparations for Season 5 of this monthly quiz gameshow under way, here’s what we know…
The Quiz LIVE is a monthly quiz gameshow created by TheHappywheels1 and partnered with WraithStation. Taking place in a complete in-game studio set-up, the show features smooth moving cameras, tricky Minecraft-themed trivia, a blend of live and pre-recorded segments, and live viewer contributions in the form of question submissions for the finale round – all edited together live for its audience on YouTube.
“It amazes me that something I created one random Saturday is still running today,” Happy tells me. “Going into Season 5 is insane. I can’t wait to get back into hosting episodes next month with our Season 5 opener show.”
So what’s new for Season 5? Whilst no changes have yet been announced, there were some surprises throughout Season 4 – including brand new game Questions & Ladders being added to the roster, Question Cubes returning as a permanent round, a spin-off show called “Thinking Caps”, a public map release for Questions & Ladders, and a charity fundraiser to end the year. With that in mind, you can probably expect a few special announcements throughout Season 5 as well!
The season will have eleven episodes, each taking place on a Saturday at 5pm GMT / 12pm EST. The dates, subject to change, are:
With three players per episode, there are thirty-three contestant spots up for grabs throughout the year. Whilst there may be some returning faces from previous seasons, the majority of contestants are anticipated to be new to the show, like with Season 4.
Applications for each episode will be open for content creators aged 16+ to apply. For the selected contestants, streaming is allowed but not mandatory, as the “main POV” is streamed to Happy’s channel. Applications have just opened for the first episode, and you can apply here.
