WARNING: double check your event times as Daylight Savings arrive

Wraithzeon 7 March, 2025 1 min read
Daylight Savings Notice
WARNING: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
⏰ NA enters Daylight Savings: Sunday 9th March
⏰ UK & Europe enter Daylight Savings: Sunday 30th March

Every year around clock changes, there are frequent errors made by Minecraft players, as well as event and project organisers. This can lead to people missing events.

The most common errors we see are not converting the hours difference correctly (e.g. for a three-week period only, there is one fewer hour difference between the UK and North America), or using the correct time but marking it incorrectly as a time zone that isn't in use (for example using GMT and BST interchangeably).

If running or attending an event, please be extra cautious during this time. If writing dates, please double check that you're using the correct time zones to avoid confusion, and that your conversions are correct. Using an online time and date converter is always the safest option if you're unsure.

The Sphere News "What's On" calendar is correct to our knowledge. If you spot any errors, please let us know.
