MCC Rising is a version of Noxcrew’s Minecraft Championship that any Minecraft creator can apply for, regardless of size or being on the main roster. This is Rising’s third year, and we reached out to all of the players taking part to find out more about them, and get some recommendations for cool projects to check out!
This is Part 1 of this three-part series, with a new question being asked in each article. In this first article, we asked:
WHAT MINECRAFT PROJECTS ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?
TibbyCaps – Aqua Axolotls:
I’d love to shout out the HOTGUY COMICS Zine – it just released and it’s a 400+ page superhero comic book based on Hermitcraft! I was one of many comic artists and everybody did an amazing job.
WithMayX – Cyan Coyotes:
I am very close to releasing the 8th season of my Viewer SMP now named Amity! The server has a fully custom coded plugin through which the community has to collect resources to advance in the game!
rubyco_ – Red Rabbits:
Me and my whole team are in fact working on a SMP together! Skyblock Kingdoms is the first English Skyblock SMP in which 10 teams of 2 build up their starter island, with monopoly over one designated wood type! Me and Vintage are the Cherry kingdom, for example, so only us two are allowed to have Cherry saplings and such. There is a full playlist with all of our episodes that are out, but we do stream it too!
HiImCC – Orange Ocelots:
I am working on an interdimensional rail network with automatic directioning. Just push a button and it should take you anywhere in your world!
vintage_applesauce – Red Rabbits:
When I am not preparing for MCCR, I am on an SMP called Skyblock Kingdoms. Created by VikingPilot, we are an SMP set in the Skyblock Infinite datapack, and split into 10 teams of two. My partner just so happens to be Ruby, who is another member of the Red Rabbits. I absolutely LOVE this server and creating content on it – it has been an absolute blast.
Avid_Mc – Red Rabbits:
I’m working on some pretty cool things at the moment! I’m most well known for my series Avid Adventures where I’m building an adventure map in Minecraft using only command blocks. However, I’ve recently started focusing on an SMP called Skyblock Kingdoms. I’ve been weaving a story around my character, and in one of the most recent episodes I wrote my own music and hired an animator to make a really, really cool piece of work.
Paeadams – Cyan Coyotes:
At the moment I am putting 100% of my attention towards MCC. After that, I will start working on my modded Viewer SMP, to have an open space for community, and also on my Builders Vision S2 project! These are really important for me right now!
queen_ov_drama – Purple Pandas:
My main focus the last two weeks has been MCCR through and through. However, I have recently started to get into long form content on YouTube. I am filming a series of videos on SeeMore SMP with some friends – it’s a mixture of building and fun server interactions. I am making a highly detailed fishing village and loving it! I have usually focused on short-form content making build tutorials, MC memes and MC facts videos! I will be getting back into making more content after MCCR is over.
AbolishRegret – Yellow Yaks:
A project I’ve been working on is a cinematic and episodic story in the world of Abode SMP.
RoseThunder_ – Green Geckos:
I’m currently working on a project but it’s in very early stages so there’s not much I’ve even said publicly. I guess the biggest thing would be the name – it’s called Destinies SMP and it’s a new kind of viewer, storytelling SMP!
LynxyLiam – Cyan Coyotes:
I’m currently working on a gameshow for mainly Minecraft creators, but at the moment I’m on hiatus due to Rising.
Gigithepuppy – Blue Bats:
I currently have a Java world that I sometimes play in, but mainly I do a lot of just streaming whatever I want from Pokemon Let’s Plays, Zelda, Minecraft survival, and playing servers on both Java and Bedrock. I stream on Twitch pretty much every day!
Scuffed_Sushi – Lime Llamas:
Other than MCC I haven’t thought too much of anything else, BUT I’m currently editing my first real made-for-YouTube video!
pearcups – Green Geckos:
I’m not really working on any big Minecraft-related projects right now, though I may help with one of RoseThunder_’s projects! I’m pretty busy keeping up with college and stuff though so if I do get to help I would be playing a minor role.
Plushy33 – Blue Bats:
To be honest, the only thing I’m working on right now is just focusing on Rising, since that’s taking up a lot of time.
