Forsaken Isle SMP is just one of a flurry of new events that have joined forces with the charity campaign.
Late April through May will be a busy time for Heart Of A Hero. First comes minigame tournament BlockFest (raising money alongside fundraising group October Charity Game Nights), followed swiftly by MCC Island tournament Island Challenges Tournament (ICT), Season 3 of the Forsaken Isle SMP, and PvP event Creator Conquest.

So far, Heart Of A Hero has raised $5,910.82 USD since its inception last October, all for Teenage Cancer Trust. “It’s difficult to truly put into words how it feels to be almost at 6k earned, it’s a very humbling, very emotional experience,” says Captain_AJX, the organiser of the Heart Of A Hero campaign. “The past six months have seemed like a blur of hard work and just incredible kindness from so many people. To have raised so much, when I initially though we might earn maybe 2k at most over the whole year, is incredible.”
“I’ve recently received some difficult news in my personal life which has really pushed me to want to do more, to raise even more, and I’m glad cause no matter how much is raised, more still needs to be,” AJX continues, “but overall I’m so grateful to everyone from the mods to events and players to the people donating for the amount raised so far!”
During those six months, a wide variety of events, servers, and streamers have stepped up to join the cause – one of those being Forsaken Isle SMP.
“Forsaken Isle is a four-week-long hardcore SMP, where all players are restricted to one island,” organiser pinkfluffyseal tells us. “They must survive the four weeks, in which there will be quests to complete as well as some mini-events within and outside of the server!”

“Forsaken Isle is all about working together and trusting each other,” Pink continues. “Resources are limited and sometimes hard to come by, so it’s important to work with your fellow islanders to make sure everyone has what they need – whether this is from working as a team to find a way to cure a zombie villager, fishing for hours when food is scarce, or simply making a community village!”
“Working with Heart Of A Hero is such an honour,” Pink says. “When brainstorming for Season 3, I knew I wanted to make this season super special, and honestly there was no better way of doing that then working together to raise money for charity.”
“Heart Of A Hero was such an easy pick for me – seeing the passion AJX puts into it really is so inspiring, and something I want everyone in the community to see. Getting to raise money for an amazing charity like Teenage Cancer Trust is so important to so many people, and I’m excited to see how much money we can raise along the way!”

“It’s really interesting to see so many people get involved in so many different capacities,” AJX tells us. “From the start I was blown away by how many different people messaged me, wanting to get involved in some capacity or another – so many people with stories of their own, from someone they love or even themselves having cancer, and I think it’s important to allow everyone to get involved as much as they want. From people getting tattoos, to SMPs, to events, to even dance parties – no matter what they’re planning, I’m just honoured to have them do it alongside the Heart of a Hero fundraiser, and will do all I can do to help them set up whatever they need – with of course the help of my lovely mod team too!”
Forsaken Isle SMP will start its third season on Tuesday 6th May, with the server launching at 10pm BST / 5pm EDT.
